Ancient History

At the age of 9, a friend of the family’s took me to see a huge exhibit about Ancient Egypt and the treasures of King Tut.  My mother never thought I’d sit still for the 2-hour presentation, but from the first picture slide through the end of the program, I was hooked.  From that day on, I read everything I could find about the ancient world. 

Today, I’m still fascinated with all things ancient.  Not just the usual stuff, but anything and everything that pertains to pre-history.  I spend hours watching The History Channel and The National Geographic Channel, trying to see what new discoveries have been found about our past. 

Ancient History Blog is a place for me to pass on all the things I’ve learned over the years.  I’m by no means an expert in this field, but I know more stuff about things that happened a thousand years ago, than I do about things that happen in the last hundred years.  I hope readers of this site find something they never knew before and will enjoy taking a trip through Ancient History.
